Diy Door Dangler
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, 14” X 6” Sized 6mm Piece Of Plywood, Colour Print Outs of Leaves, Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container, Decoupage Glue
STEP 1 : Moulding the Mouldit clay
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab. Leave it till semi dry
• Draw few giraffes on it. Refer to the image.
• Cut along the outlines neatly with a scissors or a paper cutter.
• Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 2 : Painting giraffes
• Paint the cut outs of the giraffe with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03 and Neon Pink 018.
• Leave it to dry.
STEP 3 : Painting the backdrop
• Take 6mm plywood measuring 14” x 6” in size.
• Paint the plywood with Acrylic Colour Black 02.
• Let it dry completely.
STEP 4 : Decoupage
• Take colour print outs of different types of leaves.
• Cut along the outlines of the leaves neatly.
• Stick the leaves along with the edges of the painted plywood with decoupage glue. Let it dry.
• Apply coats of glue on leaves horizontally and then vertically to secure them.
• Leave it to dry completely.
• Write the sentence “It’s a jungle in here” in the centre of the plywood.
• Paint the sentence with Acrylic colours Burnt Sienna 01 and Chrome Yellow 03. Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Assembling
• Stick the painted giraffe randomly on the backdrop to depict a scene of a jungle using Fabric Glue.
• Leave it to dry completely.
• Attach the metal hooks from the rear side of the to hang it on the door or on the wall of the kids room.
