You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (White), Fevicryl 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fine Art Paint Brushes, Corrugated Sheet, Tracing Paper, Pencil, Scissors, Rolling Pin, Clay Modelling Tools, Assorted Mirrors, Tea Light Candle.

Create a beautiful, handcrafted diya (lamp) with a classic paisley design. This project uses Fevicryl Mouldit to sculpt a unique base, which is then painted and embellished with mirrors and a stunning metallic finish. It's a perfect decoration for festive occasions like Diwali.
STEP 1 : Prepare the base
- Let’s craft a Paisley shaped Diya on this Diwali!
- Take your Fevicryl Mouldit, mix the resin and hardener well to form a smooth dough.
STEP 2 : Cut the shape
- Take a corrugated sheet.
- With a pencil and tracing paper, draw a paisley shape and cut it out with scissors.
STEP 3 : Stick the clay
- Roll the dough and cover the corrugated paisley shape evenly.
- Take Fevicryl fabric Glue and stick the clay on the corrugated base.
STEP 4 : Sculpt the Details
- Take more of your clay dough and roll it into a thin coil.
- Tangle the coil to form a smaller paisley shape and place it inside the larger one on your base.
- This will create a raised border for your diya.
STEP 5 : Paint and Embellish
- Once the clay is dry, paint the entire paisley clay base with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White.
- Now, stick assorted mirrors on the paisley design with Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
- Take your Fevicryl 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold and carefully paint the coiled edges and any other details you want to highlight.
STEP 6 : Complete the Set
- Repeat the steps to make one more paisley diya base.
- Give the final touches to both.
STEP 7 : Final Look
- Place a tea light candle in the center of each diya.
- Your beautiful, handcrafted paisley diyas are ready to light up your home!
