X’-mas is near, and you will need all the essential decoration stuff now, keeping this in mind we have come up with this beautiful DIY, X’-mas tree Bunting, made with pieces of leftover fabrics. Decorate your home with such simple ideas this Christmas Season.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take plain fabric pieces to make the triangular tree shapes as well printed fabric pieces to make the tree bark. We have taken red, green and yellow ochre fabric pieces.

STEP 2 : Cut the fabric

Take the green fabric, mark and cut in diamond shape. (When you fold the diamond shape you will get the triangular shape).

STEP 3 : Prepare the base

Similarly cut the rest two pieces of the fabric. We must cut 6 such pieces to make 6 tree shapes.

STEP 4 : Draw and paint the fabric

Draw and paint the plain fabric pieces with polka dots, the horizontal line patterns, small floral design using Fevicryl Fabric Colours Chrome Yellow 203, Crimson 204, Light Green 212, White 227 and Coral Red 266. Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Final look of the trees

Take the printed fabric pieces to make the bark of the trees. Your 6 trees and the fabric attachments for the bark will look like this.

STEP 6 : Fill up the cotton

Fill up the triangular shaped trees with synthetic Cotton and secure the edges by sticking it with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Attachment of tree trunk

Take the printed fabric pieces, mark and cut with appropriate size for the trunk. Take Fine Art Canvas Sheet, mark and cut the piece in the size of tree trunk fabric piece. Place the canvas sheet piece in between the printed fabric of tree trunk and secure the edges with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Attach the tree trunk with the triangular tree with the help of the needle and thread.

STEP 8 : Final attachment

Take the red pom-poms, attach the Pom-poms on the top side of each tree with needle and thread. Enhance each tree with embellishments like the Sequins, Golden Cutdana, Red and Pink Stone using Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Take the jute cord and attach the tree at an equal distance.

STEP 9 : Final Look

You can use this tree bunting to decorate your wall or on your X’mas tree.
