Transform recycled metal canisters into stunning decorative pieces inspired by Jamini Roy's paintings. This eco-friendly project combines art and sustainability, perfect for adding a unique touch to your home decor.

STEP 1 : Source the base material
  • Take plain metal canisters that you can recycle.
  • Paint the canisters with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Draw and trace the design.
  • Take an A4 sized white paper and draw a sadhu and a woman inspired by the paintings of Jamini Roy.
  • Trace the designs onto the painted canisters using yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Final look
  • Paint the faces of the sadhu and the woman along with the background using Acrylic Colours: Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Prussian Blue 19, Sap Green 21, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Neon Yellow 011, Green 012, Orange 017, and Pink 018.
  • For further enhancement, paint a few dots on the background of the woman to depict flowers using Acrylic Colour Sap Green 21, and paint the branches of a tree on the back side of the sadhu using Acrylic Colour Black 02.
  • Leave it to dry.
