There is the fisherwoman with her basket full a fresh catch, the epic dabbawala, an amazing food chain system that is intriguing worldwide and last but not the least the chaiwala that gets everybody in this crazy & fun city ticking.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take 3 glass bottles of the same size and shape.

STEP 2 : Making the basic structure for the faces

Take newspaper sheets and crumple them, place them on the head of the bottle, to make a basic structure around which the face would be developed using Fevicryl Mouldit. Secure atop using a masking tape.

STEP 3 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even dough.

STEP 4 : Build the base for the heads

Cover the heads with the clay in a very neat and even manner. Tuck in rough ends and smoothen all the way.

STEP 5 : Making the fisherwoman

Create strands of hair atop the face with thin coils made with the dough, stick using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 6 : Make the basket

Shape a fisherwoman’s cane basket with the dough, creating textures of a woven basket.

STEP 7 : Stick the basket

Place and stick the basket on top of the head of the fisherwoman, using Fabric Glue.

STEP 8 : Create the other faces – chaiwala & dabbawala

Similarly, create the chaiwala and the dabbawala, just the way you see it in the image. Let it dry.

STEP 9 : Paint the base of the bottles

Give a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27 mixed with a bit of talcum powder to the base of the three bottles. Let them dry well.

STEP 10 : Start painting

Paint the bottles using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Neon Orange 017 and Neon Pink 018. Let it dry.

STEP 11 : Personalize each of the bottles

Paint each of the faces with features as they are seen in the image using Fevicryl Acrylic shades. Using Black 02, write and illustrate finer details pertaining to each of the bottles as per the respective trade. This is what would make your bottle art stand out in uniqueness.

STEP 12 : Final touches

Ensure the letterings and illustrations are all along the periphery of the bottles. Once ready they are ready to adorn a shelf that will be the focus of attention always!
