Bottle With Lippan Art

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Chrome 03, White 27, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Assorted Glass Mirrors, Plain Glass Bottles, Colour Palette, Water Container

Lippan, a folk art from the colourful Gujarat is known for it mirror work on white background. Here is an easy technique to make gorgeous Lippan bottles using Fevicryl range of products.
STEP 1 : Take 2 flat bottles
- We are going to make the lippan art design on the flat glass bottle using Mouldit.
- Take plain flat glass bottle.
STEP 2 : Paint the base coat
- Paint the bottle with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Mix Mouldit
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Make coils and stick mirrors
- Take the dough, roll it to make the coils out of it.
- Border the mirror with the coils neatly using Fabric Glue for sticking. Let it dry.
- Take the big mirror, stick the mirror in the centre of the bottle with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Make the bands with the coils and the embed mirrors on the bottle with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Finished look
- The finished bottle will look like this.
STEP 6 : Paint the coils.
- Paint the light coat of off white shade on the coil work made by mixing Acrylic Colour Chrome 03 and White 27.
- Let it dry.
- Clean the surface of the mirrors neatly.
- Make 2 such bottles.
