Description :
An interesting DIY that will teach you to make home décor with the Blue pottery design, painted on PVC pipes to make the planters is also something that you can learn in this project. Make your own such DIY for your home.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to design planters using Blue pottery technique as fridge magnets.
- Take 2 pieces of PVC pipe measuring approximately 6” to 7” in height with the end lock caps.
STEP 2 : Paint the base coat
- Paint the base coat on the pipes with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Drawing the blue pottery design
- Take a gateway paper, draw the Blue pottery designs on it in the size of the periphery of the pipe on it.
STEP 4 : Tracing design on the pipes
- Trace the design on the pipes with yellow carbon paper. Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Painting the outline of the design
- Paint outline of the design using Fevicryl 3D Outliner Blue 702. Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Fill in the colours
- Paint the blue pottery design with Water Based Glass Colours Golden Yellow and Sea Blue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Finishing
- Finish the Glass painting with appropriate colours.
- Paint the lock caps using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Chrome Yellow 03, Cerulean Blue 32 by adding a tinge of White 27, Leave it to dry.
- Your PVC pipe planters are ready.
STEP 8 : Final look
- Take Mouldit, mix resin base and hardener to form dough, attach the magnet at the rear back of the PVC using a little amount of fabric Glue. Let it dry.
- Put the plant of your choice and enhance the fridge door with it.
