Description :
This piece of art brings back the old world charm of the Mughal era, especially the colours used are so typical and authentic of the era gone by. Every detail is pronounced so well and the background lifts the whole rendition.

STEP 1 : Drawing the background design
• Take an A3 paper. Draw a mughal jali design on it. • Take a wooden plank that measures 11” x 13”. Trace the same jali design on it using black carbon paper.
STEP 2 : Taking the design print
• Take a print out of a Miniature painting (a figure of a lady). • Cut along the outlines of the figure neatly.
STEP 3 : Pasting the print on the plank.
• Stick the figure on the traced plank using Fevicryl Modge Podge. • First, apply vertical strokes of Modge Podge on the printout and then horizontal strokes to seal the paper with the background neatly. Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 4 : Painting the background design
• Paint the jali design in a shading effect using Acrylic Colours - Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Salmon Pink 65, Coral Red 66, Greenery 67 and Teal Blue 68. Leave it to dry.
STEP 5 : Painting the figures
• Similarly, take the other plank of size 11” x 10”. • Stick another Miniature style figure of a lady in a sitting posture. • Apply a coat of Modge Podge on it. Let it dry. • Paint the details of the figures like the dress, facial expressions, jewellery using Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, 27, Flesh Tint 30, Salmon Pink 65, Coral Red 66, Greenery 67 and Teal Blue 68. • Enhance the jewellery on the figures by sticking red, white and green ornamental stones using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry completely.
