Craft a charming trinket holder featuring field patterns and tiny houses using Mouldit clay and vibrant Acrylic Colours. This DIY project guides you through shaping, designing, and painting for a functional and decorative piece.
STEP 1 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit
- We are going to make a trinket holder with field patterns and tiny houses using Fevicryl Mouldit.
- Mix the Mouldit resin base and hardener well to make an even dough.
- Roll the dough to make a thick slab.
- Mark and cut out a circle measuring approximately 5” in diameter.
- Lift the edges upwards to give it the shape of a dish to form the trinket holder. Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Create the texture
- Create the field patterns inside the dish using clay coils and Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Make tiny houses and trees
- Use some clay to make tiny houses and small trees using clay carving tools and Fabric Glue. Let them dry.
STEP 4 : Paint the trinket holder and final look
- Paint the houses, trees, and field patterns using Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Indian Red 10, Light Green 12, Mauve 15, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, Turquoise Blue 22, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, and Sky Blue 63. Let it dry.
- Attach the miniature houses and trees to the outer and inner edges of the dish using a small amount of clay and Fabric Glue. Allow it to dry completely.
- Your trinket holder is now ready to keep keys or small items.
