Paint this Tukali art form on your kurti. This art is from Bihar and is a type of hand painting which can be revived by using it on different substances.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take a prewashed and ironed kurti, we are going to paint Tikuli art originated from Mithila, Bihar region on the kurti, this style involves making of small bindi like dots in the painting.

STEP 2 : Draw and trace the design.

Take A3 white paper, draw the Tikuli art design on it. Trace the design using the stencil on the bottom half of the kurta.

STEP 3 : Paint the design

Tape the garment on the working table. Put a board inside the kurti so that the colour does not seep through to the other side. Start painting using Fevicryl Fabric Colours Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome yellow 203, Crimson 204, Dark brown 205, Sap green 221, White 227 and Sky blue 263. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Final look

Make small flower motifs all over on the kurti. Leave it to dry. Your Tikuli art form Kurti is ready to wear!
