Textured Rakhi Card With Rakhi

You Will Need:

Rakhi, Rakshabandhan, Raksha bandhan,Fevicryl 3D Outliner Glitter – Black 415, Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner – White 707, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicol MR, Hobby Ideas – 3D Felt Flowers, Blue and Violet Handmade Papers, Single Punch Tool, Silver Ribbon, White Carbon Paper, A4 Sized White Paper,scissors , Pencil, Eraser

Description :

Handmade greeting cards for Rakshabandhan, can be fun and exciting to make. A lovely two in one way to give a card for Rakshabandhan along with a fancy handmade card. A double whammy for someone to receive this card and rakhi that are so well made and co ordinated.

STEP 1
Take blue and violet coloured batik textured handmade paper.
STEP 2
Measure and cut in into a size measuring 7” x 14”.
STEP 3
Stick the cards together using Fevicol MR, fold it into half to make a card.
STEP 4
Draw a floral design on the paper and trace the same on the card using white carbon paper.
STEP 5
Outline the design with Fevicryl 3D Outliner Glitter – Black 415. Leave it to dry.
STEP 6
Take a strip from the violet handmade paper measuring 1”x 7” in size. Using a single punch tool make two holes at the extreme ends.
STEP 7
Write a message on the strip that says,” HAPPY RAKSHABANDHAN” using Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner – White 707. Leave it to dry.
STEP 8
Take a silver ribbon and insert it through the punched holes on the strip for fastening later on the card.
STEP 9
To make the rakhi, take textured handmade paper and cut triangles that measure 3”x 3”x 4” using a pair of scissors.
STEP 10
Blend the edges of one side of the triangle with Artistry Ink - Ocean Reef and the other side with Groovy Grapes.
STEP 11
Stick two adjacent corners of all the 4 petals towards the centre using Fevicol MR. Please refer to the image
STEP 12
Stick a white pearl in the centre of the flower using Fevicol MR.
STEP 13
Stick the ready rakhi on the white lace using Fevicol MR.
