Tea-Lite Holder With Jali Design

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Prussian Blue 19, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Corrugated Box Flap, MDF Coaster, Colour Palette, Water Container

Make this lovely eid décor with things around you! Just a bit of imagination and Fevicryl range of products with transform the space beautifully!


STEP 1 : Make the base
• We are going to make a tea-lite holder using corrugated box flap and Fevicryl Mouldit. • Take the corrugated box flap mark and cut 5” x 5” size squares. • Cut about 8 such squares. • Take 4 squares, draw, and cut the gumbaz shape as well as the window from the centre on it. • Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Assemble
• Take 5” x 5” size MDF coaster and the cut outs of Corrugated squares. • Attach and stick the squares and gumbaz shapes together to make the tea-lite using Fabric Glue. • Leave it to dry completely. • Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Mix Mouldit
• We are going to cover the corrugated squares with the slab of Fevicryl Mouldit. • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Cut the jail design
• Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thin slab with rolling pin. • Let it get semi dry. • Mark and cut a jali design for 2 sides of gumbaz with a paper cutter. • Mark and cut the 4 squares and 4 Gumbaz shapes out of it.
STEP 5 : Paint the base
• Cover the corrugated squares with clay slab using Fabric Glue for sticking. • Let it dry. • Paint the tea-lite with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Final assembly and painting
• Attach and stick the jali design from the inner side of tea - lite using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Paint the tea- lite with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Prussian Blue 19 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Let it dry. • Your tea-lites for Eid Festival are ready.
