You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (Black 02, White 27), Fevicryl Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Coloured Fabrics, Canvas Sheet, Corrugated Sheet, Metallic Pins, Beads, Stones, Golden Border Fabric, Tassels, Paint Brushes, Pencil, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container.

This auspicious ‘Shubh Labh’ dangler brings good fortune with its charming design. A paper diya forms the centerpiece, accented by decorative clay mouldit elements. Handcrafted with care, it's a delightful addition to your doorway.

STEP 1 : Procure the base
  • This is an auspicious beautiful wall hanging for any festive, let’s see how it is done.
  • Take a corrugated sheet.
  • Mark two circles on it, one outer circle and one inner.
STEP 2 : Cut the base
  • Take scissors and cut both the inner and outer circle of the corrugated sheet.
  • Prick a hole in the center of the inner circle.

 

STEP 3 : Make Diya
  • Take a canvas sheet and cut it in the form of a diya, one base and one flame.
  • Take red and yellow colour fabric and cut it in the shape of a diya, keep the edges to fold it for a finished sticking with Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.

 

STEP 4 : Paint the flame
  • Take Fevicryl Pastel Acrylic Colours and paint the flame in any shape and design of your choice.
  • Similarly, do it on the other flame.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Prepare the clay
  • Take Fevicryl Mouldit, resin and hardener, mix well to make the dough even.
  • Take the clay and cover the inner circular cutout base.
  • When it’s semi dry, insert a metallic pin on it.
  • Take the clay and write ‘Shubh’ on it in hindi.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Cover the outer ring
  • Take the outer circular ring, cover it with clay and give tiny design impressions on it.
  • Paint the base of the ring with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02.
  • Let it dry.
  • Then paint it with Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Decorate the inner circular base
  • Take the stone beads and stick them inside the circular base in the design pattern of your choice.
  • Let it dry.
  • Refer to the image.

 

STEP 8 : Decorate the base of the diya
  • Take the base portion of the diya and paint the design on it using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours.
  • Stick stone beads on it using Fevicryl fabric Glue.
  • Take a golden coloured bordered fabric and stick it on the edges of the diya using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 9 : Join them together
  • Insert the beads inside the metallic pin on the top of the flame of diya.
  • Stick thread below the base of the diya using Fevicryl fabric Glue and insert beads inside the thread.
  • Attach a tassel at the end of the last bead.
  • Let them all dry.
  • Hang all of them in a vertical form giving the look of a dangler.
