This DIY is so simple, it can be made within hours. These quirky clay birds and earrings are made with Mouldit can be a wonderful gift to give away.
Take Fevicryl Mouldit – Resin base & hardener, mix well to form even soft dough.
Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.
Take the slab, mark and cut 2 circles measuring 2 ½” diameter for pendant and 1 ½” diameter for earrings.
Take some clay to create the features of the bird using clay carving tools and paste them on the circle slabs using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Take some clay, roll it to make the thin coils. Make the springs with the coils to make the legs of the birds. Pierce the holes for the further attachments. Let it dry.
Take the metal ring from the jewellery attachments, join the spring legs to the body of the birds.
Paint the base coat with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours White 27. Let it dry.
Paint the birds with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Violet 25, White 27 and Deep Brilliant Purple 64. let it dry completely. Take white woolen thread and colourful beads. Pass the thread through the beads and the pendant. Attach the earring attachment to make it wearable.
