Description :

Paint a vibrant peacock design on a cotton tote bag using various brush techniques and rich Fevicryl Acrylic Colours. Experiment with textures and custom colours to create a unique, hand-decorated accessory.

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • We are going to paint the tote bag with a peacock design using Acrylic Colours.
  • Take a plain tote bag and insert a piece of cardboard or thick paper inside the bag to prevent the paint from bleeding through to the other side.
STEP 2 : Draw and Trace the Design of Peacock
  • Take A3 white paper, draw a peacock on it.
  • Trace the same design on the bag with yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Paint the Peacock
  • Begin painting the peacock’s body using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Light Green 12, Maroon 14, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23, Violet 25, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Coral Red 66, and Teal Blue 68.
  • Use small brushes for detailed areas and larger brushes for broader strokes. Add details and highlights to the peacock and doodles.
  • Use a Fine Art Brush to add intricate details like the eyes, beak, and feather patterns.
  • Allow each layer of paint to dry before adding more details to prevent smudging. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Paint the Doodle Patterns
  • Once the main peacock design is dry, use fine brushes to add doodle patterns on the peacock. These can include swirls, paisleys, or abstract shapes.
  • Use contrasting colours to make the doodles stand out against the colourful background of the tote bag
STEP 5 : Final Look
  • Let the tote bag dry completely.
  • Acrylic Colours typically dries within a few hours, but it’s best to let it sit overnight.
  • Your tote bag is ready.
