You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, MDF Coasters, A4 White Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container

Make these mural coasters using MDF and Mouldit to shape the forms.

STEP 1

Take plain MDF coasters. Paint the coasters with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 2 : Draw the design

Draw the design on A4 white paper of the coaster size using motifs from nature like the trees, birds and flowers.

STEP 3 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make an even dough. Take OHP sheet, place it on the design, take the dough and start making the design with the help of clay carving tools by giving shapes of the birds, flowers and leaves. Stick the design on the coaster to make the mural using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Paint the base coat

Make 3 such coasters. Paint the dotted texture on the background of the design with Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707. Let it dry. Paint the coasters with the shade of dark brown as the base coat made by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna 01 and Black 02. Leave it to dry. Wipe out some colour from the coaster to get a rustic look.

STEP 5 : Finished look

Paint the coaster mural design with dry strokes of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Teal Blue 68. Let it dry completely and your coaster mural is ready.
