Mother's Day Greeting Card - Butterfly Scroll Card
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, Violet 25, White 27, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicol MR, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, A3 Sized Pink Card Paper, A4 Sized Blue Shimmer Paper, A4 Sized White Paper, Pencil, Red Coloured Carbon Paper, Half A Meter Beige Coloured Fabric, Paper Cutter, Blue Thin Cord, 2 Wooden Sticks, Scissors.

We always want to do something special for our beloved mother and more so on her special day. Cards for mother’s day are a perfect way to convey your love to your mother. A scroll with a loving message for your mom is something that would pleasantly surprise her. This is an innovative mother’s day greeting cards concept where you could share your most inert thoughts and feelings and say it to your Mom in the form of this butterfly scroll on Mother's day.STEP 1
Take an A4 sized white paper and draw a butterfly on it.
Trace the same on an A3 sized pink card paper using red carbon paper.
STEP 2
Cut the butterfly to make the jali design using a paper cutter.
Cut along the outlines of the butterfly.
STEP 3
Take an A4 sized blue shimmer paper.
Stick the butterfly on it using Fevicol MR.
Leave it to dry.
Cut along the outlines of the butterfly to remove the excess shimmer paper.
STEP 4
Take half a meter of a beige coloured fabric.
Cut the piece of fabric in an A4 size.
Write a message for your mom on it with few flowers, hearts and smileys on it.
Paint the message using Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Sap Green 21 and Violet 25 by adding a little White 27 in each shade.
Leave it to dry
STEP 5
Take the painted fabric piece.
Make the folds towards the opposite edges on the rear side of the fabric.
Stick the folded edges using Fabric Glue to pass the wooden sticks through it to make a scroll.
Leave it to dry.
STEP 6
Your scroll will look like this after tying the blue cord.
STEP 7
Take an A3 sized beige coloured card paper.
Fold the paper in such a way that it creates a base for the card to stand.
Stick the shimmer butterfly on the beige card paper using Fevicol MR.
Leave it to dry.
STEP 8
Your butterfly card with the scroll will look like this.
A lovely handmade scroll will be ideal greeting cards for mother’s day idea. Make it big or small as you would prefer it to be. Write down your loving message for your mom which otherwise probably you would never say it face to face as is mostly the case! Mother’s day cards normally hold a lot of sentiments and are remembered forever.
