You Will Need:
Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - Ultramarine Blue 23, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette Different Shades of Denim Fabric (Light Blue, Dark Blue and Black), Red Fabric, Scissors, Red Carbon Paper, Pencil
Description :
This Pop Art style Portrait design done in fabric patchwork of denim gives a beautiful textured effect to the design. You may try doing it with different textured fabrics as well
STEP 1
Take a picture of Marilyn Monroe in the pop art style, divide the face in tints, tones and shades.
STEP 2
Enlarge the picture in the size 20'' x 20'' and trace the picture on the denim fabric
STEP 3
Trace the tint, tone and shade areas on the light blue, blue and black denim fabric.
Cut the black coloured denim as per the shades in the picture and stick it in the respective areas using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Similarly stick the tone and tint areas using dark blue and light blue denim fabric using No Stitch Fabric Glue
STEP 4
Cut the red fabric in the shape of the lips and stick it using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Give a wash of Acrylic Colour - Ultramarine Blue to the lighter patches of the denim fabric to create an extra shade of blue as in the picture
Leave it to dry
