Holi is all about colours and why shouldn’t be our attire be colours too! Here is a quirky and fun inspiration for you.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make the shrug dupatta with tie and dye in leheriya style.
  • Take the white dupatta.
STEP 2 : Tie the dupatta to make a pattern
  • Tie the dupatta on regular intervals to make a leheriya pattern.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Dye the dupatta
  • Dampen the tied dupatta, remove the excess water from the dupatta.
  • Dye the dupatta with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03 and Neon Pink 018.
  • Let it dry completely.
STEP 4 : Remove the threads
  • Remove the threads from the dupatta.
STEP 5 : Stitching and finishing
  • Take the measurement of the shoulder to the arm pits and make markings on the dupatta, cut the oval shape in the arm area further to wear it as the shrug.
  • Stitch the oval cut border to avoid the fraying of the fabric.
  • Your tied and dyed dupatta shrug will look like this.
