Description :

An exotic mirror beautifully comes together with Fevicryl Mouldit and a stunning Indigo shade. An attractive mirror accent that is sure to turn heads! Learn the techniques with clay that can be adapted in so many other DIY projects.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take a wooden tray 10” x 15” in size.

STEP 2 : Preparing the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 3 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 4 : Square clay tiles with pattern / motifs

Mark and cut small square clay tiles. Using clay, make motifs of various kinds, like you see in the image and stick them on each of the tiles. Use clay tools and a paper cutter for ease & Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick.

STEP 5 : Arranging the clay tiles

Arrange and stick the clay tiles on the tray, keeping 5"x 7" space in between for the mirror to be stuck.

STEP 6 : Painting the tray

Start painting the tray in an Indigo shade made by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colours- Black 02, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23, & Cerulean Blue 32.

STEP 7 : Giving a distressed look

While the colours are still slightly wet, rub off some colour with a rough rag giving it a distressed look.

STEP 8 : Final touches & look

Stick a 7”x 5” mirror in centre and this now completes the look. A DIY that’s amazing to look at and so interesting to execute.
