Honey Bee Diyas
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, White 27, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Terracotta Diya, Clay Carving Tools, Googly Eyes, Pencil, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Have leftover diyas? Don’t throw them out, upcycle them into these cute little bees. Read more to know how we did that!
STEP 1 : Preparing the base
• Take two terracotta diyas. Wash and clean them.
STEP 2 : Mixing Fevicryl Mouldit
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Moulding the bee
• Take the dough,; divide it in to small parts for the head, antennas and the pointed tail of the honey bee.
• Shape the clay to make the parts of the bee.
• Stick the body parts appropriately on the diya using Fabric Glue. Merge the clay joint properly. Make 2 such bees.
• Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Painting the base
• Paint the bee diya with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
• Let it dry.
• Draw the stripes pattern on the body of the diya.
STEP 5 : Painting the stripes
• Paint the bees with Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Chrome Yellow 03.
• Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 6 : Enhancing
• Enhance the eyes of the Honey bees by sticking the googly eyes with Fabric Glue.
• Let it dry.
