Ganesha idol on a swing is what our DIY here is! A beautiful festive décor project that has clay moulding techniques by making various clay shapes and forms on waste plastic bottle. A lovely festive home décor piece that can be placed in your showcase.
Step-1-We are going to make a festive décor using the plastic bottle and small jhoola for Ganesha in it with Mouldit. Take 1 ltr. Plastic bottle for the same.
Step-2- Take the plastic bottle mark and cut the arch shape in the centre of the bottle on the opposite sides. Refer to the image.
Step 3 – Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.
Step-4- Take the clay and begin shaping the ornamental Victorian style design on the arch using small motifs. Use clay carving tools or a paper cutter for ease and Fabric Glue for sticking. Let it dry completely. Use the bottle lid too for the decoration.
Step- 5- The final look of the bottle will like this. Let it dry. Refer to the image.
Step-6- Take some clay to make the idol in sitting posture, the garment with pleats, the ornaments, the trunk and the big ears. Use clay carving tools or a paper cutter for ease. We have used an empty box and shaped the idol in sitting posture around it. Let it dry
Step-7- Take some clay to form the slab. Create the line texture on it with a paper cutter along with the holes for the attachment. Let it dry. Refer to the image.
Step-8- Paint the idol and jhoola with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Leaf Green 62 and Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry.
