A DIY that would teach you how to make a stunning mirror effect backdrop for your Ganesha backdrop this festive season. Made with basic materials and Fevicryl Mouldit clay makes it an easy and fun project.
Take a corrugated sheet, mark and cut leaf shapes like you see in the image.
Cut a few leaf shapes from the corrugated sheet using scissors or a paper cutter.
Paint the leaves with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27. Let them dry.
Paint each of the leaves using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Violet 25 & Deep Brilliant Purple 64. Let them dry.
Cut mirrors in the same shape as that of the corrugated leaves but a bit smaller so that when placed over there is a border to it.
Stick the mirrors on each of the leaves using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Border & stick each of the mirrors with kundan ball chains.
Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.
Take the clay and make a few beads with holes in each of them using clay carving tools.
Start painting the beads using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03 & Light Green 12. Let them dry.
Take wool and make a few tassels out of it, like you see in the image.
Assemble the elements by sticking each piece creatively, like you see in the image. Finally stick tassels towards the ends, and your pretty mirror backdrop is now ready to adorn your festive space.
