STEP 1 : Prepare the Base
  • We are going to make the backdrop for the Ganapati festival using corrugated sheets, card paper, and Mouldit.
  • Take a corrugated sheet and mark and cut it into an arch shape to create the backdrop.

STEP 2 : Make the Card Paper Fans & Paint
  • Take the thick card paper, and mark and cut squares measuring 6” x 6”.
  • Paint the squares using Ultramarine Blue 23. Let them dry.
  • Create fan folds with the squares and secure the center with Fevicol MR. Let them dry.
STEP 3 : Enhance the Fans & Stick on Arch
  • Enhance the fans by painting the edges with dry strokes of Acrylic Colours Light Green 12 and Teal Blue 68. Let them dry.
  • Stick the fans aesthetically onto the arch using Fevicol MR. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Make the Peacock
  • Take the corrugated sheet, mark and cut out a peacock shape with its wings.
  • Mix Mouldit resin base and hardener to make an even dough.

  • Paint the fan and the peacock with Acrylic Colours Light Green 12, Ultramarine Blue 23, Cerulean Blue 32, Teal Blue 68, and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry.
