Dazzling Tie And Dye Dupatta
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colours - Emerald Green 708, Dark Blue 9704, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Pink 218, Light Green 212, Orange 217, Crimson 204, Pearl Cherry Red 516, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold 401, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Colour Palette, Water Container, A4 Sized white paper , Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Sequins (Gold & Green), Foil Mirror Of Different Sizes, 4 Metal Mirrors, Gotta Lace, Paper Canvas, Jute Fabric, Thread
Description :
This brightly coloured tie and dye dupatta decorated with peacock patchwork and sequins gives it just the right look for festivals.
STEP 1
Wash the dupatta and wring off all the extra water
Hold the dupatta diagonally and gather and tie small knots at equal intervals using a thread
You may leave a gap of about 3 - 4 inches in each knot
STEP 2
Add little water to Acrylic Colours – Pink, Light Green, Orange, Crimson to make a thin consistency of each colour
Apply these colours individually in a particular sequence till the end of the dupatta
Leave it to dry
Cut the threads and open the dupatta to get the tie and dye effect
STEP 3
Draw a peacock motif on an A4 sized white paper
Trace it on the canvas using yellow carbon paper
You will need 8 peacocks for the four corners of the dupatta. The peacocks appear in mirror images of each other
Paint it with Sparkling Pearl Colours – Emerald Green and Dark Blue
Leave it to dry
Outline the peacock with Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold and let it dry
STEP 4
Cut a 4” border from the jute cloth and paint it with a mixture of Acrylic Colours – Crimson and Pearl - Cherry Red
Stick it on all the borders of the dupatta using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Stick the peacock motifs in each corner on the jute cloth
Stick the gotta lace bordering the jute cloth
Leave it to dry
STEP 5
Stick a big metal mirror just below the peacock motif as shown on the four corners of the dupatta using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Leave it dry
