You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Violet 25, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Coral Red 66, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Magnets, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Clay Carving Tools, Googly eyes.

Description :
Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival is celebrated all over India and is known as Pongal and Lohri too. There is a tradition to fly kites on this occasion to mark the beginning of spring and end on winters. Here is a cute diy to represent each region, just for this occasion.

STEP 1 : Mixing Mouldit
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Rolling the dough
• Take the dough; roll it to make a medium thick slab using rolling pin. • Let it get semi dry.
STEP 3 : Drawing and cutting the kites
• Draw the outline of three kites, one kite with a turban to depict Maharashtra region, second kite is with patka to depict Punjab and the third kite for Tamil Nadu. • Refer to the image. • Cut along the outlines of the kites with a paper cutter.
STEP 4 : Painting the kites
• Paint the turbans of two kites and third kite with the janeu and mundu to depict traditional clothing from Tamil Nadu using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Violet 25, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Coral Red 66 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Let it dry. • Stick small googly eyes using Fabric Glue. Attach the magnets from the rear side of the Kits with Fabric Glue. • Leave it to dry.
