You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, White 27, Coral Red 66, Teal Blue 68, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Fine Art Brushes, A4 White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Velcro, Needle & Thread, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Create decorative curtain holder rings featuring Kerala Mural-inspired bird designs, blending traditional art with functional home decor.

STEP 1 : Procure the Base and Trace the Design
  •  Begin by making the curtain rings using canvas sheets and acrylic colours.
  • Draw two different Kerala mural bird designs on A4 white paper.
  • Cut the canvas sheet into a rectangle approximately 5” x 12” in size (adjust according to your curtain periphery).
  • Trace one bird design onto the canvas with yellow carbon paper.
STEP 2 : Paint the Design
  • Fill in the bird design with Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, and White 27.
  • Let the paint dry completely.
STEP 3 : Cut the Bird Shape
  •  Carefully cut out the painted bird shape from the canvas sheet, following the outline.
  • Make two such birds for two sets of curtains.
STEP 4 : Create Additional Designs
  • On another section of the canvas sheet, create and paint a swan design using Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, White 27, Coral Red 66, and Teal Blue 68.
  • Let the design dry completely.
  • Then, cut the ends of the canvas into a rectangular shape for easy attachment.
STEP 5 : Attach to Curtain Rings
  •  Attach the Velcro to the ends of the canvas using needle and thread.
  • Your Kerala mural-inspired curtain rings are now ready.
STEP 6 : Finishing Touches & Final Look
  •  Your Kerala mural-inspired curtain rings, featuring bird and swan designs, are now ready to hang and will look stunning in your home.
