Canvas Etching Peacock

You Will Need:

Fine Art Canvas, Fevicryl Glass Colours Solvent Based, Fine Art Brushes (preferably old ones), Empty Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner, Palette, Acetone, Toothpick, Design, Carbon paper, Pencil.

Description :
Elegant design in glass colours etched on the canvas.
STEP 1
Draw or trace the design on the Fine Art Canvas.
STEP 2
Wash clean and dry the empty 3D Cone Outliner bottle. You can wash the bottle using warm water for easy cleaning. Fill the cleaned bottle with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour- Black. Using this 3D Cone Outliner (filled with acrylic colour) outline the whole design. Leave to dry.
STEP 3
Paint the design (small area at a time) with brush using Fevicryl Glass Colours Solvent Based. Use acetone for diluting and shading. While the colour is still wet etch lines, patterns etc using toothpick or backside of a painting brush. Refer above picture. leave to dry.
STEP 4
Similarly paint the whole design, including the background. No area should be left plain- without colour and etching. Refer picture.
STEP 5
VARIATION- Alternate design for canvas etching- BUTTERFLIES & FLOWERS OR You can use any glass painting design.
