You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic - Bronze 355, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Plastic Box (Dabba), Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Pencil, Talcum Powder, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Crafted entirely with Mouldit, the technique employed in shaping a Nandi bull figurine proves to be highly effective. Streamlining the process involves first creating individual body parts, followed by assembling them together with a creative touch. The uniqueness of the final product is further accentuated by applying Acrylic Colours in light and pastel shades during the painting phase.
STEP 1 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit
- We are going to make a bull figurine using Fevicryl Mouldit, a plastic box will be our shaping mould.
- Take Fevicryl Moudlit - resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to form an even dough.
STEP 2 : Roll the dough
- Roll it to make a thin slab with a rolling pin.
STEP 3 : Make the attachments
- Apply talcum powder on the surface of a plastic box. Place the rolled slab on the box, merge and smoothen the edges neatly.
- Similarly, take some clay to make the bull's head with horns, legs, and the tail.
- Attach the legs to the body with a little amount of clay and Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Paint the base coat
- Paint the body of the bull, head, and its tail with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Paint the elements
- Paint the body of the bull, head and the tail with Patina metal look using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Chrome Yellow 03, Teal Blue 68 and Pearl Metallic Bronze 355.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Draw and trace the design
- We are going to paint a mandala design on the body of the bull.
- Draw and paint a mandala design with Acrylic Colour - White 27.
- Let it dry completely.
STEP 7 : Final touches & Look
- Attach the head, legs, and the tail, appropriately with a little amount of clay and Fabric glue.
- Let it dry.
- Take a small wooden base measuring 2” x 7” in size. Paint the wooden base in a similar patina metal look as that of the bull.
- Stick the bull figurine on the base with a little amount of clay and Fabric Glue.
STEP 8 : Final look
- Enhance the figurine with a painted design on the face as well as on the base with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - White 27.
- Let it dry.
- The bull figurine once ready will look like this.
