You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Pink 18, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32, Salmon Pink 65, Greenery 67, Ultraviolet 69, Neon Yellow 011, Neon Green 012, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Big Brushes, Tissue Paper, Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, 4” X 14” & 3” x 14” Size MDF Wooden Placemat, Scissors, Cobbler Thread, Colour Palette, Water Container

Here is just the Holi DIY for you! Have some old brushes lying around? Convert these brushes into quirky Holi décor using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours and Mouldit. Read more to learn how
STEP 1 : Prepping the brushes
• Take the big flat brushes used for wall painting. • Cover the handle of the brush by sticking the tissue paper using Fabric Glue leaving the bristles as it is. • Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Mixing the clay
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Making clay faces on the brush
• Paint the handles and the bristles in colourful manner to give a holi look with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Flesh Tint 30, Greenery 67 and Ultraviolet 69. • Let it dry. • Take the dough to create 4 different faces on the brushes with different facial expressions using simple clay building and pinching technique. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 4 : Colour the faces
• Paint the brush faces with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Pink 18, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32, Salmon Pink 65, Greenery 67, Ultraviolet 69, Neon Yellow 011, Neon Green 012 and Neon Pink 018. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 5 : Painting the planks
• Take 2 MDF wooden planks; paint the plank with Acrylic Colour Neon Yellow 011. • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Painting typography
• Write and paint “ rango wali holi” in devnagari on the smaller plank with Acrylic colour Neon Pink 018 and Cerulean Blue 32. • Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 7 : Sticking the brushes on the plank
• Stick the brush faces on the bigger painted plank with little amount of glue and the clay. • Let it dry.
STEP 8 : Assembly
• Take the thick cobbler thread; paint it with Acrylic Colour Neon Pink 018. • Let it dry. • Stick the thread from the rear side of the plank with the faces with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. • Dangle the small plank with the write up below the plank with faces using Fabric Glue. • Stick the metal hooks from the rear side to hang it on the wall with a bit of clay.
