Description :

This vibrant clay planter, hand-painted with a riot of bougainvillea blooms and colors, brings a touch of tropical beauty to any space. Its artistic design showcases the cascading flowers in vivid hues, adding a pop of color and natural charm to your home. A perfect home for your favorite plants, this planter is a work of art in itself.

STEP 1 : Prepare the Mold for the Planter & Pour the White Cement
  • Take the corrugated box to get the desire shape of the planter.

  • Greece the box well from the inner side with the petroleum jelly.

  • Mix the white cement with water according to the instructions in a smooth, pourable consistency.

  • Pour the cement mixture into the prepared cardboard box mold, tapping the sides gently to release any air bubbles and ensure an even fill.

  • Place the plastic bottle inside the poured cement to set enough space further for the plant.

  • Let the cement set and harden completely. Remove the Planter from the Mold.

  • Smooth out any rough edges or surfaces with sandpaper if necessary, ensuring the planter has a clean finish.

STEP 2 : Draw the design
  •  Using a pencil, lightly sketch the bougainvillea flowers and their shadows onto the surface of the planter.

  • You can refer to real bougainvillea flowers or images for accurate detailing.

STEP 3 : Paint the Planter with Shadow Florals
  •  Paint the background, flowers and their shadows using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Magenta 13, Maroon 14, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Teal Blue 68 and Neon Pink 018.

  • Use shades of pink, magenta, and green for the flowers and leaves, and use a softer, muted palette for the shadows to create a realistic shadow effect.

STEP 4 : Finishing touches
  • Once the paint is dry, apply a varnish coat if needed to protect the paint and give the planter a polished, finished look.
