Beaded Affair Trinket Box

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (White, Dark Brown, Chrome Yellow), Wooden Box, Paper, Pencil, Tracing Paper, Carbon Paper, Barbeque Stick, Fabric Scissors, Wooden Beads In Different Shapes And Sizes, Wooden Buttons (Big & Small), Pine Cone, Velvet Fabric (Turquoise).

Here is an amazing DIY of a wooden trinket box with wooden beads that has been made using Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • Take a medium size wooden box as shown in the image
  • It could be a square box or a hexagonal shaped box
  • Clean the box
  • Paint it in the original ivory colour of the box by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (white, dark brown and chrome yellow)
STEP 2 : Base pattern
  • Take a tracing paper and draw flowy organic shapes and lines as seen in the image
  • Make sure to draw them in the dimensions of the box you have taken.
  • This design will come on all sides of the box except the bottom.
STEP 3 : Transfer the design
  • Trace the design onto the box with the help of a yellow carbon sheet and pencil.
STEP 4 : Tracing the design
  • Trace the design on the sides as well.
  • The design will be a continuation of what you do on the top.
STEP 5 : Materials to stick
  • Take various wooden beads and buttons as shown in the image
  • Take a few small pinecone petals to create flowers.
STEP 6 : Sticking
  • Place the pinecone flowers on the top as shown in the circles created
  • Stick a button on top of it as shown
  • Start sticking various beads as shown in the image
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium to stick.
STEP 7 : Stick embellishments
  • Make sure to stick all over and try not to leave too much space between each bead.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium to stick.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 8 : Sticking
  • Make sure to stick it all over on the sides as shown. 
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium to stick.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 9 : Inner finish
  • Measure the inner side of the box and of the lid.
  • Keeping the measurement in mind, mark and cut the velvet fabric
  • Make sure to leave 1” on the sides.
STEP 10 : Inner finish
  • Cut two such shapes for the bottom and the lid
  • Cut the edges of the shapes as shown for better finish while sticking.
STEP 11 : Sticking inside
  • Stick the cut out velvet fabric pieces in the box as shown.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium to stick.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 12 : Fabric for sides
  • Measure the inner sides of the lid and the bottom.
  • Based on the measurements, cut out strips of fabric as shown.
  • Make sure to leave 0.5” on the sides for good finish.
STEP 13 : Sticking on the sides
  • Stick the strips on the sides as shown.
  • Fold the sides while sticking for a good finish.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue Premium to stick.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 14 : Final look

The beaded affair trinket box is ready to be placed on your dressing table filled with your rings and bracelets!
