Aztec Mouldit Bottle

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Dark Brown 05, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352 , Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Ruler, Pencil, Plain Glass Bottle, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Description :
Here comes an inspiration which is a personal favorite, bottles upcycled into Aztec Gods. These surely take bottle art to the next level.

STEP 1 : Mix the clay
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Making strips
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab with a rolling pin. • Mark and cut the rectangular strips in various sizes according to the size of the periphery of the bottle. • Leave it till semi dry.
STEP 3 : Sticking the strips on the bottle
• Stick the clay strips on the bottle with Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Make sure that while sticking the clay strips on the bottle leave random gap in between the two.
STEP 4 : Making designs on the strips
• Make a few Aztec designs by engraving in to the slabs using paper, cutter, ruler, clay carving tools on the strips. • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Make two bottles
• Similarly make two such bottles.
STEP 6 : Making the faces
• Take some dough to make the Aztec faces from the clay. • Roll the dough with rolling pin and keep it till semi dry.
STEP 7 : Drawing the faces
• Draw two Aztec faces on the slab, cut along the outlines of the faces neatly.
STEP 8 : Creating texture
• Create the texture on the faces with clay carving tools. • Let it dry.
STEP 9 : Assembly and Painting
• Attach and stick the faces aesthetically on the rim of the bottle with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. • Paint the bottle and the faces first the darker coat of with Acrylic Colours Black 02 for one and Dark Brown 05 for another bottle. • Wipe out the colour with a rough rag. You will get to see the darker shade in the grooves. • Apply the second coat on both the bottles using Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry.
