Shivratri is a celebration of the union of Shiv and Shakti and this unique rendition of their togetherness is just painted so brilliantly. Read more to learn how we have done this.
STEP 1 : Source the base and draw the design
- We are going to paint a canvas with Ardhanarishwar on it.
- Take plain 12” x 16” fin art canvas board.
- Draw the simple leaf shape with the doodle design leaf with the face of Ardhanarishwar in it.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Paint the face
- Start painting the face and the half side of leaf in black using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23 and White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Paint the doodle
- Paint the flower in maroon shade and the doodle design with lines circles, the floral patterns, the zig- zag lines on the leaf using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04 and White 27.
- Leave it to dry completely.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Paint the background
- Paint the background of the leaf and the face in shading manner using Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Lemon Yellow 11, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Sky Blue 63.
- Let it dry.
- Your canvas with Ardhanarishwara is ready.
