Ahir Embroidery Design On Canvas

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02, Crimson 04, Fevicryl 3D Outliner Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 03, Light Green 704, Orange 705, White 707, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, 12” X 12” Fine Art Canvas Board, Fine Art Brushes, A3 White Paper, White Carbon Paper, Pencil, Foil Mirrors, Colour Palette, Water Container

Ahir embroidery of Gujarat is a rhythmic row of embroidered patterns, circular mirrors encircled, we have tried recreating the same on Canvas.

STEP 1 : Draw and transfer the design

Take two Fine art Canvases, take A3 white paper, draw two different Ahir Embroidery designs in the size of the canvas on it. Paint the canvas with the base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02. Let it dry. Trace the design on the canvas with white carbon paper.

STEP 2 : Paint the design

Paint the design using Fevicryl 3D Outliner Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 03, Light Green 704, Orange 705 and White 707. Let it dry. Stick the foil mirrors in between the designs with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 3 : Final touches

Similarly paint the other canvas with the elephant design using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Crimson 04 and Fevicryl 3D Outliner Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 03, Light Green 704, Orange 705, White 707. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Final look

Your Canvas with Ahir embroidery will look like this.
