You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Silver 351, Gold 352, Green 357, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette, Water Container, Ruler, Pencil, Scissors, Flower Making Wire, Flower Making Masking Tape (Green Colour), A4 White Printed Papers, Metal Ring, Thread

Learn toran making at home this Gudi Padwa. A toran is a must have on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa and this time around we have given it a natural twist. Here is a handmade wisteria created using A4 printer papers and Fevicryl colours.

STEP 1
Take A4 white printer papers to make the wisteria flowers dangler. Draw and cut squares measuring 1 ½” x 1½”, 2” x 2”, 2½”x 2½”, 3” x 3”, 3½” x 3½”, 4” x 4” and 4½” x 4½” in sizes to make small to big wisteria flowers.
STEP 2
Paint each of the squares in two combinations using Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Silver 351 and Gold 352. Leave it to dry.
STEP 3
Fold each square firstly into half and then again into half. Repeat the process for each of the square. Refer to the image.
STEP 4
Fold the square in the centre to make a triangular shape. Refer to the image
STEP 5
Cut the triangular shape in the shape of the petal.
STEP 6
The petal will look like this.
STEP 7
Open the petal neatly. Overlap the petals on one another and stick it with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Your flower will look like this. Similarly make flowers of various sizes.
STEP 8
Take a flower making wire. Insert all the flowers starting from the smaller flower to the biggest flower in it by leaving little gap in between the layer of the flowers Take the green tape and wind it up in between the flowers neatly. Your wisteria flower stem will look like this. Refer to the image.
STEP 9
Similarly make the silver flowers with paper painted with silver colour.
STEP 10
Take an A4 white paper, draw and cut a few small , medium and big leaves. Paint the leaves with Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Green 357. Leave it to dry.
STEP 11
Make the stem of the leaves by following a similar method of the flowers using little amount of Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 12
Take a metal ring, wind up green tape across the diameter of the ring. Dangle each of the flower stem and the leaves stem on the metal ring aesthetically. Take at thread and tie it on the ring to dangle it.
