Talavera Earrings
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Coral Red 66, Greenery 67, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fine Art Brushes, M-Seal, Rolling Pin, Ruler, Pencil, Paper Cutter, Needle, Black Thread/Cord, Earring Attachments, Colour Palette, Water Container.
Description :
Making a mural or a big art and have some Mouldit or M-Seal leftover? Don’t throw it away! Make these cute little Talavera earrings with that.
STEP 1 : Mixing
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
• Similarly mix the M-seal resin base and hardener to make the even dough.
STEP 2 : Roll the dough
• Take both the dough and roll it to make slabs.
• You have to work little fast while using M-seal because of the drying time of the product.
STEP 3 : Cutting the squares
• Cut the squares measuring 1 ½” x 1 ½” and 2” x 2” in size from both the slabs with a paper cutter.
• Pierce the holes on the M- seal slab on the bottom for attaching the tassels and on the top too with a needle.
• Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Draw and paint talavera design on the squares
• Draw the traditional Talavera tile designs on each slab with different designs.
• Paint the designs with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow, White 27 and Cerulean Blue 32
• Leave it to dry.
STEP 5 : Attach the tassels
• Attach the tassel to the M- seal earrings along with the earring attachments.
STEP 6 : Make some more
• Similarly draw and paint the other Talavera designs with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Coral Red 66, Greenery 67 and Teal Blue 68.
• Let it dry.
• Attach the earring attachments aesthetically to make it look more beautiful.
