Here’s a project that will make you a diva this festive season. These quilling jhumkas use attractive colours, easy quilling techniques and is a lot of fun to make! Make different coloured paper jhumkas to go with your different outfits for a glamourous look always.

STEP 1

Take neon coloured quilling strips Choose the colour combination of strips of your choice.

STEP 2

Take the violet coloured quilling strips. Join and stick 5 strips together with Fevicol MR. Quill the stuck strips to make a tight round coil. Make two such coils for the earrings.

STEP 3

Take the quilling mould with the dome side facing upwards. Place the tight coil on the dome shape. Select the size of the dome as per the size of the jhumkas required. Shape the tight coils into dome shapes. Refer to the image.

STEP 4

Take the violet coloured quilling strips to make the rings. Take a paint colour bottle to shape the ring and secure the ends of the quilling strips with Fevicol MR.

STEP 5

You can take a small sized bottle or the lid of a bottle to make the ring as the base of the jhumkas. Make two such rings.

STEP 6

Take the neon orange coloured quilling strips. Quill the strips to make loose coils. First shape the coils to make a teardrop shape, then shape it to make a paisley. Make about 16 -20such paisleys for the jhumkas.

STEP 7

You will get 2 rings, 2 quilled dome shapes and paisleys.

STEP 8

Arrange and stick the paisleys aesthetically to make the jhumkas.

STEP 9

Take green coloured neon strips. Take half the strip, roll it further to make tight coil. Insert the tight coil inbetween each paisley formation with fevicol MR. Leave it to dry. Embed small sized pearls on the bottom rings of the jhumkas using 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky Pearl Metallic - Gold.

STEP 10
