Make this table mat using small pieces of waste cloth lying in your house. This can be an easy method to learn patchwork art this summer holidays!
Take assorted fabric pieces which are there at home (blouse pieces or waste from the tailor fabrics) to make the patches. We have taken yellow, red, maroon and green colour fabric pieces.
Take maroon fabric, mark and cut a simple flower shape from it.
Similarly take red fabric, mark and cut the circle measuring approximately 1 ½” diameter in size.
Stick the cut pieces of the flowers with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
Similarly take yellow and green fabric mark and cut leaves out of it.
Take green colour fabric mark and cut the stems for the leaves. Refer to the image.
Take half a meter of black fabric. Mark and cut the fabric measuring 12” x 15” in size. Fold the fabric on the edges and secure it with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
Stick the flowers, leaves and stem aesthetically on the black fabric using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
Enhance the design with running stitch effect using Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707. Leave it to dry.
