Patang Earrings

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Premium Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour (White, Deep Brilliant Purple, Teal Blue, Cerulean Blue, Chrome Yellow), Buckram, Earring Hooks, Zero Size Stones, Half Cut Plastic Stone, Barbeque Stick, Pencil, Paper, Scissors, Brush

Here is an amazing DIY of Kite earrings that can be made completely using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 1 : Design Sheet
  • Draw a kite measuring 2” and tassels measuring 1” on a paper as seen in the image
STEP 2 : Source the base
  • Take buckram sheet as seen
  • Transfer the design onto buckram
STEP 3
  • Once the design is transferred, cut it using scissors
  • Cut the upper part and lower part separately
STEP 4 : Painting and sticking
  • Paint the kites using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours (White, Deep Brilliant Purple, Teal Blue, Cerulean Blue, Chrome Yellow) as shown in the image above
  • Use a paint brush to paint them
  • Stick the bottom part on to the top part as shown in the image
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
  • Let it dry
STEP 5 : Sticking the stones
  • Take poth in colours similar to what has been painted and stick them on the kite.
  • Stick a pink stone on the circle in the center.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
  • Let it dry
STEP 6
  • String gold and black poth beads onto white yarn and stick them at the back of the kite as shown in the image.
  • Take the earring stick and stick that at the top as shown in the image.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
  • Let it dry
STEP 7
  • Cover the back with a buckram piece cut in the shape as seen in the image.
  • Make a small hole on the back covering so that the earring stick can pass through it.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
  • Let it dry
STEP 8 : Assembly
  • Finish the earring by trimming out any extra buckram anywhere in the piece.
STEP 9 : Final Look

The patang earring is ready to be worn!
