Owls On A Plank – Key Holder

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Pink 18, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Coral Red 66, Greenery 67, Teal Blue 68, Ultraviolet 69, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, 2” X 15” Sized Wooden Plank, Clay Carving Tools, Pencil, Paper Cutter, Rolling Pin, Metal Hooks, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Make this cute key holder with just a few things – Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours and a plank. Isn’t this super cool?

STEP 1 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit

• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.

STEP 2 : Rolling the dough

• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab with a rolling pin. • Leave it till semi dry.

STEP 3 : Making the owls

• Draw 5 owls on it. Cut along the outlines of an owl with a paper cutter. • Take some dough to make the eyes, beak and the wings of the owl. • Take some dough to make the leaves. Leave it till semi dry. Create veins on the leaves with paper cutter. • Paint the owl and the leaves with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Making the owls

• Similarly make 5 such Owls. • Paint it with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Cut a plank

• Take the wooden plank measuring 2” x 15” in size to stick the owls on it.

STEP 6 : Paint the owls

• Paint the Owls with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Pink 18, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Coral Red 66, Teal Blue 68, Ultraviolet 69 and Neon Pink 018. • Leave it to dry.

STEP 7 : Assembly and finishing

• Paint the plank with a shade of green made by mixing Acrylic Colours Sap Green 21 and Greenery 67. Let it dry. • Take some dough; roll it to make the medium thick coil to make the branch of the tree. Let it dry. • Stick the branch towards the bottom side edge of the painted plank with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. • Paint the branch of the tree and the leaves with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06 and Greenery 67 • Leave it to dry. • Stick the owls and the painted leaves aesthetically on the painted plank with a little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. • Pierce the metal hooks in between the Owls evenly for keys.
