Corky Clay, I Clay - Yellow, White, Fevicol MR, Small Red Ornamental Stones, Clay Modelling Tools (if available), Scale, Water Container

Description :
This Nesting bird is made using basic techniques of forming clay, like the pinching technique, coil technique and creating shapes by rolling the clay in your hands.
STEP 1
Crumple a full sized sheet of a newspaper into the shape of a ball.
STEP 2
Roll a medium sized ball out of the Corky Clay.
STEP 3
Further roll it into a long coil.
STEP 4
Arrange the long coil spirally around the ball made of the crumpled paper.
STEP 5
You will need about 3 to 4 long coils to complete the nest. Leave the nest to dry
STEP 6
Take I Clay – White, make 2 oval shaped eggs out of it. Take the same sized ball of White I Clay and cut it into two halves to make the cracked egg. The cracked egg is made by pinching technique.
STEP 7
To make the chick, roll a medium sized ball of I Clay – Yellow. Pinch it into a bird shape. Use a scale or a modelling tool to make the linear textures on the body of the chick. Embed small red ornamental stones for its eyes. Leave it to dry
STEP 8
Assemble the eggs and the chick in the nest and stick it with Fevicol MR.
