We are making a Mother-Daughter inspired candle holder, that will be remembered for years to come. A lovely DIY that exudes the love and bonding between a mother and a daughter. Made into a pretty home décor addition will add that personal touch to your home.
A candle holder inspired by the ultimate bond between a mother and a daughter, is what this DIY will teach you.
Make a basic structure of a human form using metal wire and masking tape, this would be for the mother and daughter figures.
Take Fevicryl Moulit – resin base and hardener, mix well to make an even soft dough.
Roll the to make a medium thin slab using a rolling pin.
Wrap the clay slab around the structure, using your hands to manoeuvre, smoothen and give it form and shape. Use clay carving tools for a better finish.
Similarly, make another human structure, this time a bit smaller, this would be for the daughter.
Bring the composition together, by making a small disk that’s being held by the duo. This is where the tealite candle will be placed later. Balance and stick the figurines on a circular ring, also made of clay to round off the entire look. Stick using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
Paint the human structures, now figurines of a mother-daughter duo in Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Black 02. Let it dry.
Paint with a second coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, to give a metallic classic look. Let it dry.
To give it, it’s final touches, place a delicate tealite candle where the two hands are meeting and light it. Here you have a beautifully conceptualized candle holder, to add to your home space.
