You Will Need:

Create a stunning mosaic mirror with floral designs using square mirrors, Mouldit clay, and vibrant Fevicryl Glass Colours. This advanced project adds a handcrafted touch to your home decor.
STEP 1 : Procure the Base
- We are going to make the mirror mosaic on MDF using square mirrors, Mouldit, and Glass colours.
- Take a 12” x 12” MDF to make the mirror mosaic design
STEP 2 : Paint the Base Coat & Trace the Design
- Paint the MDF board with Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
- Take A3 white paper, draw the floral design on it.
- Trace the design on the painted surface with yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Stick the Mirrors
- Stick the square mirrors around the traced design to create a mosaic effect using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Cement Application
- Mix white cement with a small amount of Fevicol MR and water in a plastic bowl until it achieves a paste-like consistency.
- Apply this paste to the stuck mirrors.
- Once semi-dry, remove the paste from the top surface of the mirrors and trace the floral design.
STEP 5 : Prepare the Clay and Make Flowers
- Mix Mouldit resin and hardener to form an even dough.
- Roll the dough into a medium-thin slab using a rolling pin, then mark and cut flowers and leaves from the slab.
STEP 6 : Paint the Flowers
- Paint the flowers and leaves with Glass Colours Tomato Red, Golden Yellow, and Crystal Green. Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Finishing Touches
- Stick the painted flowers and leaves aesthetically within the mirror mosaic using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 8 : Final Look
- Stick the large rectangular mirror in the centre using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
- Paint the border around the mirror using Glass Colour Sea Blue. Let it dry.
- Your mosaic mirror will look like this.
