You Will Need:

Fevicryl Water Based Glass Colours Kit, Fevicryl 3 D Outliner White 707, Fine Art Brushes, OHP Sheet, A3 White Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Silver Thread, Scissors, Colourful Wooden Beads, Metal Ring, Colour Palette, Water Container.

How cool is to catch some sunshine with this sun catcher on the festival of the sun! Make this easy DIY and add to your festive décor.


STEP 1 : Draw the kites and do the outlines
• We are going to make the sun catcher with the motifs of the kites using glass colours. • Take A3 white papers; draw the kites with three different sizes on it. • Place an OHP sheet on the drawing and paint the outlines with 3 D Outliner White 707. • Let it dry. • Cut along the outlines neatly of the kites with a pair of the scissors.
STEP 2 : Paint the kites
• Paint the kites with Water Based Glass Colours Tomato Red, Golden Yellow, Orange, Pink and Ultramarine Blue. • Let it dry. • Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Wind thread on the ring
• Take the metal ring; wind the silver thread around it by sticking it with Fabric Glue. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 4 : Assembly
• Take the silver thread and colourful wooden beads; attach painted kites and make the multiple strands with kites and beads. • Attach the kite and beaded strand to the ring at equal distance. • Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Final look
• Your final sun catcher with kites will look like this.
