Made with Shilpkar and pebbles and painted with Fevicryl Acrylic colors clay owl sculpture can be used around your house to brighten up any corner.
Clay modelling and pebble art come together for this DIY!
STEP 1
We will start this DIY by taking a packet of Shilpkar and mixing two parts, resin and hardener together. Blend it till you get even dough. Let it rest for 3 minutes.
STEP 2
Then take the dough ball and roll it to make the medium thick slab with rolling pin. We need to leave it aside for some time till it is slightly dry. On the slab draw the eyes and the ears and then cut them out with a paper cutter. Stick the eyes and the ears on the pebble using Fabric Glue, as depicted in the image. Let it dry.
Then we take some dough and make the beak of the owl and stick it in between the eyes with Fabric Glue.
STEP 3
When the clay has dried we will start painting the body of the owl, the eyes and the beak in shading effect using Acrylic Colors Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Salmon Pink 65 and Teal Blue 68 as shown in the image. You can use your own color combination. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
Similarly we have made another owl and painted it with Acrylic Colors Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Salmon Pink 65 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry.
STEP 5
Take some dough to make the base of the owl pebbles depicting it like the branch of a tree. Rest the owl pebbles on the clay and let it dry. Paint the base by giving the effect of the branch using Acrylic Colors Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03 and White 27.
Our cute little owls are ready.
