Home Décor Using Colour Palette

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl 3 D Outliner White 707, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Stencil, Ready Flowers and Pollen, Newspaper, Old Used Painting Brushes, News Papers, Scissors, Cookie Cutter, Chalk Powder, Colour Palette, Water Container

Art material that doubles as home decor? Yes please! 

Grab your old colour palette and turn it into a fabulous wall decor with this DIY Colour Palette Decor using Fevicryl Mouldit! 

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take a plain wooden colour palette.

STEP 2 : Create the texture

Take the stencil, paint and create the design with some rough texture on the palette using Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707. Let it dry.

STEP 3 : Paint the texture

Paint the palette along with the texture by adding Chalk Powder in Fevicryl Acrylic Colour white 27 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Prepare the dough

We are going to make various shaped flowers and tendrils with Fevicryl Mouldit. Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make an even dough.

STEP 5 : Build the shapes

Take the dough, roll it to make a thin slab with rolling pin. Mark and cut a few petal shapes out of it. Join and stick the petal shapes together to build the flower shape using Fevicryl Fabric Glue for sticking. Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Build the other shapes

Similarly cut out a few tendrils with rolled coil, flower and heart shapes with cookie cutter. Take a few old used paintbrushes, paint all the elements with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Prepare the newspaper leaves

Take plain newspaper, paint the paper with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna 01. Mark and cut a few leaves out of it after drying.

STEP 8 : Assemble the motifs

Take a few readymade flowers, the painted newspaper leaves, Mouldit flowers and the painted brushes, arrange and stick the elements on the painted textured palette aesthetically using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 9 : Final Look

Paint a few dry strokes with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Crimson 04 around the arrangement as well as the centre and the edges of the flowers with Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Similarly spray Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27 with toothbrush randomly on the palette. Let it dry completely. Take a small piece of card paper and write a message” it’s a beautiful life” with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Black 02. Stick the message tag in the flowers with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
