Green Kurta With Resist Technique

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Fabric Colours Chrome Yellow 203, White 227, Fevicol A+, Fine Art Brushes, Plain Green Kurta, A3 White Paper, Pencil, Yellow Carbon Paper, Colour Palette, Water Container.

STEP 1 : Drawing the design
• Take the plain green kurti to paint it with glue resist technique style. • Take an A3 white paper. • Draw the geometrical pattern design according to the neckline and the yoke of your kurti. (suitable size according to the yoke).
STEP 2 : Trace the designs
• Trace the same design around the yoke of the kurti using a yellow carbon paper. • Refer to the image. • Replicate few motifs from the design randomly all over on the kurti as well as on the sleeves.
STEP 3 : Apply glue
• Outline the design with Fevicol A+ neatly. • Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 4 : Let it dry
• The dried glue design will look like this.
STEP 5 : Paint over the application
• Paint the leftover area around the glue with light shade of yellow made by mixing Fabric Colours Chrome Yellow 203 and White 227. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 6 : Remove the glue
• After drying remove the dried glue from the kurti neatly by scraping it off. Wet the area slightly if you face resistance. • Your resist technique kurti will look like this. • Refer to the image.
