Description :

Make these Amphora vases inspired from Greek pottery art and enhance any normal earthen pots.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take any prewashed terracotta pots. We have taken one in a bottle shape and the other in jug shape.

STEP 2 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough. Make the handles with Fevicryl Mouldit on both sides of the pot to make it look like the Greek Amphora Vase.

STEP 3 : Paint the base coat

Take the dough, roll it to make a thick coil, let the coil get semi dry. Stick the coils on both the sides of the pot to make it look like handles for the vases. Paste them using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Paint them with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27. Leave it to dry.

STEP 4 : Draw the design

Take A3 white papers, draw the Greek Amphora design for the border and the center design. We have used a hunter with birds for one of the vases.

STEP 5 : Draw the design

Take another paper and draw the soldiers with the horse on it along with the border design.

STEP 6 : Paint the design

Trace the same design on the vase using black carbon paper. Paint the background excluding the figures with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Orange 17 and White 27. Leave it to dry completely.

STEP 7 : Paint the design

Paint the rest of the vase and the border design with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Orange 17 and White 27. Leave it to dry completely. Your Amphora vases will look like this!
