You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Maroon 14, Fevicryl Acrylic Color Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl metallic Powder Gold 08, Fevicryl Mould It, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Paper Cutter, Clay Molding Tools, Sponge, Wooden Sticks, Rolling Pin, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Make this Diya stand with a unique idea of welcoming the season of lights this Diwali.
STEP 1 : Prepare the base
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix well to make even dough.
- Roll it to make a thick slab with a rolling pin.
- Cut two leaf shapes from the slab.
- Use clay carving tools to make the cutwork effect & design on it.
- Bend the leaves slightly when they get semi dry.
STEP 2 : Prepare the dough
- Take some clay to make the base for the stand.
- Make the mould by placing the dough on a small bowl.
- Pierce a hole in the center with the wooden sticks that will be used later for the project making.
STEP 3 : Final look of the base to make diya
- Take the wooden sticks and attach them to the base.
- Take some clay to make the base for the tealight.
STEP 4 : Finishing touches
- Attach the sticks to the base and the leaf shapes on the top side of the stick using a little amount of clay and Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 5
- Paint the diya and the stand with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Maroon 14, Pearl Metallic Gold 352 and metallic Powder Gold 08. Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Final look
